Alaska Fishing License Information
Everyone 16 years and older will need a fishing license. We highly recommend you purchase your licenses and King stamps online at www.adfg.alaska.gov/store before you arrive. When you complete your purchase PRINT OUT THREE COPIES! Keep one copy on you at all times while fishing and keep the other two in your bag. In the event yours gets lost or destroyed, you won’t have to pay to get a replacement. Forgot to buy your license and stamp online? No Problem-o (A little Spanish wordplay there). You can buy a License and King stamp at many local convenience, sporting goods and tackle stores.
Make sure to buy a license covering the appropriate number of days that you plan to fish. If you're going to be fishing for King salmon, you will also need a King stamp.
